This page will feature writings, thoughts and information about Salvador Santana and the Salvador Santana Band (SSB). I have had the opportunity to meet and interview Salvador Santana. He is a gracious and humble soul. He holds much promise for music and our world. I plan to post the transcript of that interview here as well as the article I wrote in 2005 about Salvador for the New Haven Advocate.I took this picture on June 19th, 2005, when SSB opened for Los Lonely Boys and the New Santana Band at the Career Builder.com Theatre in Wallingford, CT. It was Fathers Day that evening and I recall that Salvador gave his father a Fathers Day Card on stage during the New Santana Band set (Salvador was playing keyboards with them after playing his set with SSB). As a father, myself, this especially touched my heart. I smiled with both Carlos and Salvador with a shared sense of fatherly pride.
